NORMANDY CIDER APPLE

Thanks to the cooperative functioning of the Group Elle & Vire, Val de Vire Bioactives has a total traceability of its raw material.
The cider apple-growing is carried out by the cooperators of the Group Elle & Vire, within the Normandy I.G.P. zone (Protected Geographical Indication). They gather about thirty different varieties, with various organoleptic characteristics (sweet, bitter-sweet, bitter, sour…)

The collected apples are taken in charge by another subsidiary of the group, the Val de Vire ciderhouse, which processes the cider apples for the production of cider and apple juice.
After the pressing, the apple pomace is immediately dried and packed, then stored in a specific warehouse.
The cider apples coming from the Val de Vire ciderhouse are the exclusive raw material of Val de Vire Bioactives.
