Mechanisms of action :

Pomactiv ® Shape is containing 3 polyphenolic compounds that act in synergy to support a healthy glucose metabolism.

  • Hydroxycinnamic acids and especially chlorogenic acid have an inhibitory effect on the hepatic synthesis. They modulate glucose synthesis and normalize the glucose storage in the liver.
  • Flavonols, of which quercetin glycosides, can interact with intestinal sugar receptor.
  • Dihydrochalcons (phloridzin), are well-known competitive inhibitors of glucose intestinal absorption, and cellular glucose transport.

Obtaining a weight loss means control metabolic energy releasing, and one of the primary objectives is to reduce abnormally high levels of blood sugar to normal levels. Pomactiv Shape is able to achieve this objective by limiting glucose absorption, regulating glucose hepatic synthesis and allowing a better mitochondrial respiration, related to an easier utilization of glucose.

The slimming properties of apple polyphenols were identified by in vitro studies.

Influence of apple extracts on the morphology and accumulation of intracellular lipids (coloring Adipored) in in vitro cultures of HMSC pre-adipocyte cells. The morphological analysis shows that the extract containing at least two apple polyphenolic compounds (extract B) is more effective than a rich in phloridzin extract (extract A).
