DRAINING EFFECT : POMACTIV® AGE


Effects :

  • Decrease the permeability of the blood vessels, responsible for the feeling of “tired legs”.
  • Protection of the venous walls against free radicals damages.

Mechanisms of action :

    Most of cider apple polyphenols belong to the flavonoïdes family. These flavonoïdes have vasculo-protective properties improving the resistance of the blood vessels and decreasing their permeability.

Pomactiv® Age is rich in procyanidols, which interact with connective tissue (collagen and elastin) surrounding the blood vessels; they ensure better stability of this structure and a protection against enzymatic degradations. This protective effect decreases the permeability of the vessels, and maintains their contractility aptitude.

The strong antioxidant power of Pomactiv® Age, partly due to quercetin compound (powerful antioxidant) protects efficiently the blood vessels against free radicals damages. Indeed, some recent studies have highlighted the free radicals influence in the mechanisms of venous troubles *.
