APPLE AND POWER
By its shape and its volume, the apple symbolizes the circle and the globe. Thus, as soon as the globe became the mark of gods and kings, it became the image of the power.

The globe held by kings and gods is not only the emblem of kingship, nor a symbol of power and authority. It is also the image of the full and heavy fruit, the symbol of abundance and happiness for the kingdom of who holds it. This representation can be found in various civilizations. For example, in the XIIth century, the cruciferous globe of the Holy Roman Empire was called in slang “apple of the empire”. |

The great Lug, the most important Celtic gods, used to held 3 apples, signs of power, prosperity and immortality.
