MECANISMS OF ACTION :

    The apple instant tanning properties are easily observed; an apple put right in the sun will be gradually coloured in order to protect itself from the sun rays.

Phloridzin contained in the Pomactiv® Wla extract can be used by the skin enzymatic system to produce instant tanning molecules. The use of phloridzin as a substrate for the synthesis of melanoïdins (pigment close to the melanin) enables the development of a natural tanning.


Melanoïdins synthesis

Pigments that are naturally present in apple do not only have tanning properties but also high antioxidant power to ensure protection against DNA skin cells degradation and prevent risks of photo-ageing.
