MECHANISMS OF ACTION :The apple seeds contain a rare and valuable oil. Its large resources of essential fatty acids give more energy to the cells and energize the most tired skins. | |
The crude apple seed oil is rich in linoleic acid, which is a major compound of the sebum. Its high content of linoleic acid makes apple seed oil easily absorbable by the skin. It also contains vitamin E of which the antioxidant properties allow to prevent the appearance of wrinkles.
The apple seed oil increases the protective function of the skin cells and strengthens it like a protective membrane. It has hydrating and nutritive but also tonic and revitalizing properties.
The cold pressing of the apple seeds preserves the quality of the whole nutritive compounds: fatty acids, vitamin E and other antioxidants substance, vitamins and minerals. Indeed, the hot extraction commonly used as well as the chemical refining are detrimental for oils; these operations eradicate the essential fatty acids and the vitamins and in case of solvent extraction, some chemical residues can remain in the oil.
