  • Increase calcium assimilation

Mechanisms of action :

    Adding calcium to food intake is not enough to maintain our bony resources. To be efficient, this calcium supplementation must pass through the intestinal barrier.
    Increasing the calcium assimilation, but also the assimilation of the other cations (magnesium, potassium…), this is precisely the action of Pomelite® Dsf fibers. Their effect was demonstrated by in vivo tests.

Pomelite® Dsf contains prebiotic fibers; their fermentation by the intestinal microflora produces short chain fatty acids. The metabolites of this fermentation decrease the faecal pH. As a consequence, the ionic exchange capacity increases very strongly and enhances calcium assimilation.
